Eggspanding our quality of vehicle access

Bumble Hole Foods has completed a new access road project.

We have recently made a huge investment in upgrading their entire access road and also created an amazing car park for Visitors and Staff.

As Winter is now upon us, we felt it was a perfect time to ensure safety was top of our list in creating a newly laid access road and Visitor and Staff Car Park. This was a huge project, both financially and in its sheer physical scale.

The money invested was in excess of £200,000, with Walsh Construction being employed as the team to deliver. Such a project had to be meticulously calculated, as to avoid little or no disruption to our daily business.

The timescale from start to finish was 8/9 weeks. Anyone visiting will notice what an amazing transformation this has had on Bumble Hole Foods.

What eggsactly has happened?

  • Walsh Construction have excavated, transported, re-spread, levelled and compacted 1050m3 (2300t) of hardcore alone!
  • The amount of tarmac required to complete the project was 850m3 (2000t). This was imported, spread and compacted.
  • That's a whopping 1900m3 (4300t) in total! - That's almost the same cubic size of a 2m deep Olympic Swimming Pool!

The results are stunning!
